BOTOX® Cosmetic, Xeomin, Dysport and Jeuveau™ are injectable substances made from naturally occurring neormuscular relaxants. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a highly diluted form of a toxin that has been proven to be safe and that was approved for use in cosmetic treatments by the FDA in 2002. BOTOX® injections are used to relax facial muscles to prevent the formation of fine line wrinkles.

FROWNN LINES
Also called “11 lines”, vertical wrinkles of the glabella (the area between the eyebrows) create a stressed, stern look as the forehead etches itself into a near-permanent frown. Using 10-25 units of BOTOX, our highly trained team of injectors can temporarily vanquish these 11 lines and restore a more approachable appearance to your face.

FOREHEAD LINES
Deep horizontal creases across the forehead can add years to the face and produce a perpetually worried or brooding look. BOTOX can ease the muscles into a more relaxed state, making patients look younger and more rested. Typically, forehead lines will be treated with 10-30 units of BOTOX, given the wide surface area being targeted.

CROWS FEET
Lines extending from the corners of the eyes, commonly referred to as “crow’s feet,” can be significantly mitigated with BOTOX. Each side requires 5-15 units, so patients can expect to receive up to 30 units in total.

EYEBROW LIFT
“Browtox” refers to an injection of BOTOX into the muscles that pull the brows down, allowing the “lifting” muscles to slightly elevate them. This can generally be achieved with 2-5 units of BOTOX on each side.

NASALIS LINES
Nasalis or “bunny” lines appear as a crinkling near the bridge of the nose. A BOTOX injection in this area will smooth out these creases and typically requires 5-10 units.

VERTICAL LIP LINES
BOTOX injections to combat vertical wrinkles above the lips are highly effective at restoring a more youthful appearance to the mouth. A little goes a long way with this treatment, with the average quantity ranging from 2-7 units.

MASSETER REDUCTION
A BOTOX masseter reduction slims the lower face by relaxing the muscles of the jaw. This treatment can create a softer, more feminine profile for women and a sleeker look in men. As the masseter (chewing) muscles are some of the most pronounced in the face, most patients can expect to receive 25-30 units of BOTOX per side.

LIP FLIP
A lip flip can plump the appearance of the upper lip with an injection near the Cupid’s Bow. For patients wondering how much BOTOX they may need for this treatment, a lip flip typically involves 4-6 units to achieve the desired volumizing effect.

DIMPLED CHIN
Overactive muscles can pull your chin back and create a dimpled texture. This can be corrected with 2-6 units of BOTOX for a smoother, more youthful appearance.

SMILE LIFT
Similar to the brow lift, a smile lift can help raise the corners of the mouth while reducing wrinkles and lines extending toward the chin. Typically, 3-6 units of BOTOX on each side will be sufficient.

PLATYSMAL BANDS
The neck is another area frequently treated with BOTOX. Specifically, the vertical bands of muscle that run down the neck become more prominent with age, leading some patients to seek a smoother, more relaxed appearance, which we can do with 10-30 units of BOTOX.
Because facial muscles cannot contract after treatment with BOTOX®, the injections temporarily smooth out and ease the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the face. BOTOX® injections are often used in conjunction with, or in replacement of, many facial cosmetic surgery treatments such as facelift, brow lift, and eyelid surgery. Botox is the most well-known brand of several available botulinum toxin injectables at wondermed Rejuvenation Center, but they all work in the same way. Available alongside Dysport® and Xeomin®, two other botulinum toxin injectables, Botox works by inhibiting the nerve signals that cause your muscles to flex.
At Montclair Rejuvenation Center, the team uses Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin injections to target the specific tiny facial muscles that hold fine lines and wrinkles in place. The highly-trained doctors and RN can use Botox to help reduce your:
- Forehead lines
- Crow’s feet
- Frown lines
- Smile lines
- Bunny lines
Since the amounts of the drug are so small, you won’t look frozen, and you can still make expressions after your treatment. The results last for an average of about four months, and you can get follow-up injections as needed to maintain your new look.

PDO THREAD LIFT
PDO (polydioxanone) THREAD LIFT is a procedure that uses dissolvable sutures to lift & contour the face and simultaneously tighten the skin with its various properties. As PDO threads break down by your body through a process called hydrolysis, it triggers another process called collagen neogenesis. This process allows your body to produce an influx of collagen in focused areas where the threads are placed which results in lifted, tightened skin & long lasting, natural results.
Results vary depending on treated area, types of threads used, and patients current baseline.
Allow 2 – 4 week downtime. Depending on intensity of treatment & treated area, downtime may vary.

Thread Lift Treatment and Facelift
The increase in noninvasive procedures has shifted the aesthetic culture. Patients now are going for less invasive, less painful, less costly procedures with shorter recovery times. Thread lifts are one of the most recent approaches to nonsurgical facial tightening. It is a cosmetic procedure that aids in contouring lose or sagging skin and efficiently tightens and lifts up loose skin. The threads used in the process are made of Polydioxanone (PDO). The procedure deals with these skin areas:
- Cheeks
- Neck
- Eyebrow Lift
- Jawline
- Skin folds from nose to lips
- The lines at corners of the mouth
- Arms
- Abdomen
The thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure that stimulates collagen in a skin that helps the skin to retain volume and hydration making it looks young again. The threads used in the treatment are dissolvable which reduces the chance of infection as bacteria have no foreign material to grow on.
The Procedure

The thread lift procedure is done under local anesthesia. The surgical thread (PDO) is worked upon the skin using a cannula (micro-needle).
Thread lift surgery is categorized into three types; surgical, non-surgical and beauty threads.
Surgical thread lift: It can be compared to a facelift and done in two ways;
Free-floating threads: inserted beneath the skin under local anesthesia and pulled into place, creating a lift.
Fixed threads: are attached to the skin's underlying structures that give a thorough face-lift and are often combined with excess skin removal for best results. The recovery time may be from 7-14 days.
Non-surgical thread lifts: These are the middle way between surgical and beauty thread treatments. It is suitable for people who want minimal to normal lifting. The method also changes the skin tissues in terms of increased collagen creation. These are less radical in the skin but give a noticeable lift to the face. The result lasts between 10 to 18 months.
Beauty threads: The treatment acts by stimulating collagen productions in the skin. Increased levels of collagen make the skin tight and firm giving it a youthful glow. Beauty threads are relatively short, about and are usually placed in multiples. The result lasts about 12 to 18 months.
After the procedure, you may get swelling or little bruising in the treated area that goes away in a few days.
Facelift
A facelift or Rhytidectomy is a cosmetic surgery to get a more youthful appearance to the face. It reshapes the lower half of your face by eliminating excess facial skin and tightens loose, hanging skin in the region of the jawline. It may also remove deep folds around your mouth and nose, and extra hanging skin and fat under the chin and in the neck. It may also tighten the underlying tissues, and it can be combined with other surgeries to improve the forehead, cheeks, brows, and eyelids.

The surgery is generally done as an outpatient practice. It can be done under local anesthetics and sedatives or general anesthesia.
The procedure may take from 2 to 4 hours, and the patient can usually go home on the same day after surgery. The incisions for the facelift are based on the techniques that will be used and the patient's choices. Options are:
Traditional face-lift incision: It begins at your temples in the hairline, goes down and around the front of your ears and ends at the back of your ears in your lower scalp. An incision can also be made under your chin to enhance the appearance of your neck.
A limited incision: Comparatively shorter incision that starts in your hairline just on top of your ear, wraps around the front of your ear but does not expand all the way into the lower scalp.
Neck lift incision: begins in front of your earlobe and continues about your ear into your lower scalp. A small incision is made below your chin as well.

MESH
Smooth threads are used to create a mesh (some placed vertically and some horizontally) under the skin to serve as a foundation for new collagen production. This technique tightens the skin naturally from within. Areas of use include nasolabial folds, marionette lines, tear troughs, smile lines, tighten skin in neck, forehead wrinkling and frown lines between the eyes. They can also be used in other areas of the body to tighten and rebuild collagen such as the abdomen, legs and arms.
LIFT
Barbed threads are used to create a more dramatic and immediate result. The PDO sutures have barbs, which provide grip underneath the skin. The skin will build collagen which will secure the lift. Areas of treatment for lift threads include lower face to improve the appearance of nasolabial folds and jowling, define jawline and tighten skin in neck. Lift threads can also be used to lift other areas of the body including breasts, buttocks, knees and other areas of laxity and sagging.
PDO threads can be further divided into three categories:
- PDO mono threads. Smooth sutures that help rejuvenate your skin by stimulating collagen production.
- PDO cog threads. These threads have barbs that latch into your skin like small fishhooks, to provide support and lift parts of your face.
- PDO screw threads. Made up of one or two intertwined threads, these are used to help restore volume to sunken parts of your skin.

(PRP) HAIR RESTORATION.
Whether hair loss is caused by aging, disease, genetics, stress, or hormonal imbalance millions of people are searching for a solution. Vampire Hair Restoration is a technology using platelets, from your own blood, to stimulate hair growth as a permanent, effective and organic solution.
THE PROCESS.
As with most procedures, there is a careful process involved in using PRP for hair regrowth, first, with a standard blood draw from the patient’s arm. Secondly, the tube of blood is put into a machine called a centrifuge, which spins the blood tube to separate out the red blood cells from the plasma. The plasma, rich in platelets, is then injected directly into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles. The injections beginning across the scalp, approximately at every half inch over the area of thinning hair — but typically, the entire procedure takes less than a half hour. The body reacts to the treated cells as it does to a wound and immediately starts repairing the tissue. This builds the underlying tissue with tightening, smoothing, and increased blood flow that makes hair regrow.
DOES THE VAMPIRE HAIR RESTORATION TREATMENT HURT?
The procedure is well tolerated, however there may be a slight pinching sensation or feeling of pressure felt in some areas more than others. A topical numbing cream can be applied prior to the injections if requested, however most will find this isn’t needed.
WILL THE TREATMENT REQUIRE DOWNTIME OR HAVE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Normal activities can resume right after treatment, although it is recommended to not wash hair until the next day. There can be mild tenderness to the treated area, which can be managed with Acetaminophen (Tylenol). Some minor swelling of the forehead can occasionally be seen 1-2 days after injections, this is normal and will resolve in 48 hours.
HOW LONG TILL I SEE RESULTS?
Within 6-8 weeks you should see improvement with continued changes for 4-6 months. It is recommended at least three treatments spaced four weeks apart for best results, although some may see changes with just one treatment.
HOW LONG WILL MY RESULTS LAST?
The results of this treatment should last at least one to two years, but results may vary. Research to document the longevity of results is ongoing.
